Men’s Chorus features George Gershwin and Irving Berlin Music
Cappella Cantorum Men’s Chorus Concert, Sunday, Sept. 26, 3 PM, at First Church of Christ Congregational of East Haddam, 499 Town St., East Haddam. The 38-member male chorus is conducted by Barry Asch and accompanied by Susan Sweeney. The concert, to benefit First Church, features music by George Gershwin and Irving Berlin and includes: Amazing Grace, Count Your Blessings, Three Chanteys, Strike Up the Band and The Last Words of David. Solos include: Embraceable You and Someone to Watch Over Me. The Hill Top Four, Barbershop Quartet also will perform. Reception, following the performance. Tickets are $15; Advanced Sale Tickets $12, also students and seniors. Children 12 & under are free, but must have a ticket.
