Vernal Pool Certification

Vernal pools are hot spots for biodiversity in the New England woods, but their biological richness may be impaired or destroyed by development. You can help the Massachusetts Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program identify and protect these important habitats through certification. Naturalist David McLain, will review the ecology of a vernal pool and species that live there, along with the steps to certify a vernal pool. Registration is required.
