Farshaw's Bookshop

Farshaw's Bookshop is now in the center of South Egremont, a charming and historic village (it is on the National Register of Historic Places), in the heart of Berkshire County in western Massachusetts. We are just four miles west of Great Barrington where, in one form or another, Farshaw's had been since 1945.

Our Book Bindery is now up and running. We repair damaged books, and custom-bind books to your specification. We also can clean and repair certain types of paper.

We continue, of course, to sell fine old books, but we have broadened our scope to include some interesting and attractive antique furnishings, art work and - this surprises people, and usually delights them - vintage toys! Specifically, our toys are ships, trains, planes and buses, trucks and cars from the period c.1910 - 1945. Some of our toys, indeed, are as choice and rare as some of our most choice and rare books.
