Rescue from stairwell “B” World Trade Center

He has been a member of FDNY for 17 years. Was assigned to Ladder 6 in Chinatown in Manhattan. He had the Irons position on 9/11/01. He currently is assigned to Ladder 56 as a Lieutenant. Has 33 years in the fire service both career and volunteer. Past experience includes Fairfax County Fire &Rescue Department.
Ladder 6 was assigned to go on the 2 nd alarm to the World Trade Center and on arrival they were assigned to go up in the tower. After Tower 2 came down they started to evacuate the building. They were using stairway “B” and as the came down the stairs the came across Ms Josephine Harris and after a few more flights of stairs Tower 1 came down trapping Ladder 6, Ms Harris as well as other member of FDNY companies. He will discuss the rescue of himself, Ladder 6, Ms. Harris and the other members trapped in stairwell “B”
