The Southern Vermont Natural History Museum is located at the Hogback Mountain Scenic Overlook on Route 9 in Marlboro, Vermont, in the southern foothills of the scenic Green Mountains. Perched on an overlook with views into Massachusetts and New Hampshire, on a clear day the horizon is 100 miles away. n permanent display at the museum is a collection of New England birds and mammals, including loons, owls black bears, and fishers. In addition to the large collection there is a live raptor center which has various native species of hawks and owls.
