For over thirty years, Wesleyan University's Russell House has been the site of prose and poetry readings and Sunday afternoon concerts, all of which are free and open to the public.
The Samuel Russell House is one of the premier examples of Greek Revival architecture in the Northeast. Designed by Ithiel Town, one of the period’s foremost architects, it was built between 1828 and 1830. Located at the corner of Washington and High Streets in Middletown, CT, the Russell House was named a National Historic Landmark in 2001.
