Nassau Ambulance

The community is invited to the Dedication and Open House at the new Nassau Ambulance Building, 498 McClellan Road (off RT 20 at Agway Store) on 31 October 2010. Local dignitaries, County EMS personnel, and the local contractors that built our new station are participating in our dedication ceremony at 1:30PM. Free blood pressure screening and refreshments are offered between 1 PM and 4 PM. Nassau Ambulance was started in 1952, as part of Nassau Fire Department to serve the community. We presently have two ambulances, which respond to over 600 emergency calls each year with fifty volunteer members, and a paid day staff. We hope this open house provides a thank you for the community support necessary to serve the Towns of Nassau, Schodack, and the villages of Nassau & North Chatham. Volunteers are always needed as Emergency Medical personnel (trained free of charge by county EMS instructor’s), as well as Ambulances drivers (age 21 and older). Applications are available at the open house. We welcome every one to attend.
