Native plants are what attract and are most satisfying for our local wildlife. We will look at the broader picture of our back yards and talk about the overall structure and composition of plantings as habitats that encourage a variety of wildlife. Nine principles apply to making our yards and gardens safe and attractive to wild things and we have many choices available to us in improving the height, color and texture of our immediate landscape. A powerpoint will be followed by discussion with handouts and catalogs to look at. Registration is required. Call (978) 464-2712 for details. See http://www.massaudubon.org/catalog/listing.php?program_code=808-WA12SP1 for more information.
