The Seedhouse Cafe

The Seedhouse Cafe offers casual fine dining in an intimate surrounding. This very small restaurant is the perfect place to gather with a few friends or a romantic dinner for two. The menu changes frequently, depending on what is available in the local markets and the whims of the chef and owner, Peter Bennett, who enjoys preparing a traditional filet mignon béarnaise as well as developing new favorites such as mahi mahi with avocado-mango salsa or Moroccan spiced chicken. Karen Bennett bakes fresh sourdough baguettes to accompany your meal, outstanding pies and has won awards for her rich ice creams. Other favorites are Peter's country pate and Karen's Mediterranean meze platter. The Bennett's enjoy pleasing their customers, so if you want something that's not on the menu, or want your meal prepared in a special way, or to accommodate dietary restrictions, they will do whatever they can to indulge you. And be sure to save room for dessert. The Seedhouse is open for dinner 5 nights a week and for brunch/lunch on weekends and holidays. If you want to have lunch on a weekday, however, and call ahead, they can probably open specially for you. They also offer catering either at their place or yours, anything from a business lunch for 2 or a wedding for 200.
