Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius \& Heard

Heard features the exhilarating New World jazz of composer and pianist Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius. Blending jazz, classical, and world music, along with the inspiration of the natural environment, Heard creates a captivating soundscape. Heard's members include Elizabeth on piano, Jonathan Greene on woodwinds, John Menegan on bass, Zorkie Nelson and Brian Mellick on percussion, and Rebecca Kleinman on flutes.
Elizabeth's music has been featured on the NPR programs "Theme \& Variations", "All Things Considered", and "Performance Place." She is the pianist for the dance department at Russell Sage College and works with several modern dance ensembles, including Mark Morris, Jose Limon, and Doug Varone Companies, the NYC Ballet, and with Ellen Sinopoli Modern Dance Company.
