Saxton’s River, VT, Wednesday, 12/23/09 – Brattleboro, Vermont’s Groove-Grass trio, Jatoba, will be celebrating the season with their “groove-grass” sound to audiences at Pleasant Valley Brew Pub. Jatoba will bring their normal sound as well as some choice Christmas songs played in their unique style.
Incorporating a unique blend of three extraordinary acoustic musicians; Jatoba redefines their sound through collective songwriting, composition and extreme rhythmic/melodic improvisations. Through Double Bass, Acoustic Guitars, Baritone Guitar, Mandolin, Sitar, Banjo and harmonizing vocals, Jatoba displays a very eclectic arrangement of acoustic instrumentation. In the past few months Jatoba has gone from a key local act to regional touring force with upcoming dates in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and of course remaining loyal to their home state of Vermont. Jatoba has recently shared the stage with nationally touring acts such as: Melvin Seals and JGB, Keller Williams, David Grisman Quintet, KRS 1 and Rusted Root. They are quickly reaching out to their growing fan base from the strum of the first chord with a mix of old standards, highly creative original material and the occasional nineties rock anthem played with an aggressive bluegrass style.
