Robert S. Feranec presents Of Mammoth Bones and Giant Beavers: Ice Age Fossils in New York

Thursday, March 22, 2012, 5:00 p.m., Stockade Building 101. Free. At the height of the last Ice Age, 25,000 years ago, nearly all of New York State was covered with ice. This time period may provide clues to the effects of current global warming. Dr. Robert S. Feranec is the Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the New York State Museum in Albany. His research is focused on understanding how ecology changes in mammals over time.
