The Sanctuary for Independent Media

This former North Troy church is the home base for programs using media and information technology tools to raise awareness, educate and network communities around music, art and culture, and freedom of expression. We have developed performance, screening, and production facilities, workshop and gallery areas, and a meeting space for artists. The Sanctuary has become a significant presence in the Capital Region cultural environment, showcasing music, films, theater, and speakers on a regular basis. This project marries a commitment to presenting cutting edge jazz and other non-commercial music genres with expertise in media arts production, distribution and community arts education.
