The Boys Club of Worcester was organized on April 25, 1889. The first Clubhouse was opened on September 21, 1889. This consisted of four rooms, sparsely furnished, on the third floor of a laundry building on Barton Place. From the start, the Club met a real need. Boys came in large numbers, and the membership grew rapidly. Its quarters were soon overcrowded. Our Mission is to help youth, especially those who need us most, develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and community leaders, through caring professional staff who forge relationships with our youth members and
influence their ability to succeed in life.
